Presenter: Kayla Cardinal, Harm Reduction Project Coordinator - Northern BC
Kayla Cardinal is the harm reduction project coordinator in Northern BC with VICA's Tailgate Toolkit Project. With men in trades over representing the number of drug poisoning deaths in British Columbia, the Tailgate Toolkit Project aims to increase awareness, reduce stigma, and share available supports and resources. This project explores the connections between pain, mental health, and substance use; and aims to educate employers, employees, partners and stakeholders of BC’s construction and trades sectors to equip them with the tools they need. Kayla will be joining our event, presenting on what is offered through the program and how she is here to support you and your company.
