WorkSafeBC will discuss Occupational First Aid Regulation Amendments effective November 1, 2024. This webinar will cover key updates, including new requirements for risk assessments and developing first aid procedures.

• Workplace class factors-Definition of ‘remote’ and ‘less -accessible’ and the classes.
  
• Basic requirements that an employer must provide in the workplace.
  
• Written first aid assessments -the information needed and the frequency.
• Worker involvement in assessments-who is involved as applicable.

Presenter: Sudhir Nair

Sudhir joined WorkSafeBC in 2020 as a Health & Safety Specialist in Construction.

Currently looking after the Residential construction portfolio, Sudhir interacts with Health & Safety Associations such as the Canadian Home building associations (CHBA), the Home Builders Association of BC (HAVAN) and the Southern Interior Construction Association (SICA).

He also has the portfolio of Public Administration which involves municipalities in which he actively participates in their meetings and liaises with the BC Municipal Safety Association. He is a regular attendee and representative at their tradeshows and conferences.

Sudhir has been involved with some strategic initiatives like High Voltage Limits of Access and Construction High Risk Strategy. In addition, he is actively involved in consultations and organizing webinars with external stakeholders on important changes both regulatory and others.
